Get Right To Stay In The Fight
As a first responder, you’re trained to stay calm in the worst moments. But the weight of what you see, hear, and carry home builds over time. The stress doesn’t always clock out when you do. That’s where therapy can help.
Whether you're actively serving or retired, struggling or just need to decompress, we’re here.
Hello! My name is Maci, and I specialize in helping first responders work through the unique challenges that come with serving others every day.
Whether you’re a police officer, firefighter, EMT, dispatcher, or medical responder, the job often requires you to carry stress, trauma, and emotional burdens that most people don’t see or understand. Over time, these experiences can take a toll on your well-being, your relationships, and your ability to feel fully present off duty.
My Approach
I believe real healing starts by understanding the patterns we develop to survive difficult experiences — patterns that may no longer serve us or be necessary in low-stake situations. In therapy, we use those insights to strengthen resilience, process trauma, and build skills to better handle the demands of both the job and life outside of it.
I incorporate DBT, EMDR, and other evidence-based therapies that have proven highly effective for first responders dealing with trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and burnout. My goal is to provide a space that is confidential, judgment-free, and completely focused on your mental health and quality of life.

Samantha Golden, LCSW
Hi, I’m Samantha. As a licensed clinical social worker, I help first responders manage the emotional toll that comes with serving others day after day.
Whether you work in law enforcement, firefighting, EMS, dispatch, or emergency medicine, you’ve likely seen and experienced things that few others understand. Over time, the accumulation of high-stress situations, trauma, and constant responsibility can leave even the strongest people feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or emotionally distant — both on the job and at home.
My Approach
In therapy, we create a space where you don’t have to carry it all alone. Together, we’ll identify what’s weighing on you — whether it's the calls that stay with you, the chronic stress, or the emotional strain that builds up over time. My work combines warmth, honesty, and accountability, helping you break out of unhelpful cycles and move toward a healthier balance.
I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, CPT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and positive psychology, tailoring each session to your specific experiences as a first responder. This isn’t one-size-fits-all therapy — it's about finding what works for you so you can continue serving others while taking care of yourself.
