Frequently asked questions

Why Join Mindwave Therapy?

Mindwave Therapy is an inclusive mental healthcare company committed to improving the quality and standard of care, starting with our providers. We believe that by giving therapists access to a work environment that fits their needs and promotes wellbeing, the service delivery will speak for itself.

We empower our providers to deliver exceptional, high-quality therapy — with zero costs to them.

As a Contracted Provider, you maintain full control over your caseload and schedule, with no minimum requirements. Focus on client care while we manage the administrative work, including insurance, billing, and marketing.

At Mindwave Therapy, you’ll join a supportive clinical community, so you’ll never feel like you’re working alone.

Are Sessions Virtual or In-Person?

The majority of sessions are conducted virtually. However, if you and your client prefer in-person sessions, you are welcome to arrange them independently and still have us handle everything else.

What Are The Requirements to Join?

To join our network, therapists:

  • Must hold an independent, fully unencumbered license

  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

  • Must be licensed in the state of Arkansas

  • Must be able to provide telehealth

You will also need to provide:

  • NPI number

  • Malpractice insurance

  • Resume

  • 3 professional references

What happens to my existing practice when I join?

You’ll still have full control of your private practice. Mindwave credentials each provider who joins under our network, allowing you to maintain any credentialing you’ve established independently.

What’s the commitment and cost?

Partnering with Mindwave Therapy as an independent contractor is completely free, with no minimum hours or caseload requirements. Our providers have the freedom to decide their client caseload and schedule.

How Do I Get Clients?

We help attract clients for your practice through direct to consumer marketing and referrals from our insurance partners. We also handle and fund the marketing of your Psychology Today profile, helping clients find you faster.

What is the Matching Process for Clients I Receive?

For new providers, we gather information about their specialties and the client populations they'd like to serve. Similarly, for new clients, we collect details regarding the services they are seeking, along with their preferences for a provider's race, gender, language abilities, and treatment specialties.
